At OccuMed, Medical Case Management of complex disabilities consists of:
·    A structured interview present and past medical history as it relates to their current disability
·    provide immediate health education, interventions and support, as indicated, to minimize the disabling effect of the medical condition
·    gathering and assessing medical information, recommending further medical consultation or investigation, developing a recovery plan

OccuMed Occupational Health Nurses (OHNs) have a unique combination of education and experience in working with physical and psychological medical diagnoses; laboratory tests and medical imaging diagnostics; treatment protocols; therapeutic interventions; rehabilitation programs; workplaces and their physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial hazards; human rights and other legislation applicable to disability; determining fitness to work; and return-to-work coordination.
